Fight for Same-sex Marriage

People are comparing homosexuals to criminals, to freaks, to worthless citizens.

This is not right.

What kind of world do we live in, where someone can justly accuse someone they dont even know with that kind of hate and disgust?

What kind of country do we live in, where marriage has become about law and legal proceedings, and not about love?

If it were truly about love, a girl in love with another girl would be allowed to have her dream wedding. A boy in love with another boy would be allowed to stand at the alter, and marry his partner.

Are we raising our children to hate people for being who they are?

Are we really so unfair, so discriminatory, that we will put down people and accuse them of being freaks and criminals just because they have found love with the same gender?

Are we living in a place where people cannot openly love their partner, because of fear of being discriminated? Fear of being hated? Fear of becoming a target for homophobic hatred?

Are we living in a country where someone has to wait, and hope, their entire life just to be able to marry the one they love?

Those people who say that love, and marriage, can only be between a man and a woman; they obviously don't understand what love is. It cannot be simply defined as being between two people of the opposite gender.


Whether its between two girls, two guys, or a man and a woman...love is love.

If you don't agree with homosexuality and same-sex marriage, then that's your opinion. But going out of your way to make someone else feel worthless and criminal because of their lifestyle is petty, pathetic and unfair.
