Today, My neighbor Mike Toms and his Wife Michelle had their adopted son Jason Toms taken away from them after a year and a half. They adopted the child because the mother and the grandmother were both crack addicts and the father was in jail. Now after 18 months, the Aunt and the Uncle of the Father want to come and take the child. The court decided to give Jason to the Aunt and the Uncle because they are "family". I disagree with this because Jason had a good home with Mike and Michelle. He started to call the Mom and Dad and was becoming acustom to them. I feel that since the family gave that child up at birth, they shouldn't be allowed to take the child back. I hope you all read this and feel the way I do. Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear about this. What happened to the best interest of the child? This would be disrupting the child's life all over again.

He should be with the family that has loved him and who he feels comfortable not someone who steps in for a father who wasn't there to shield his own son from the crack addicts.

Good luck; the child needs to be where he can get the best care which is obviously not with a drug addicted family.
