For over 10 years Chimney Springs residents have not been allowed to take paid lessons by an instructor of their free choice due to a restrictions outlined below. A policy change has been motioned to allow all residents more flexibility to take lessons when they desire and by whom they desire. This change does not prohibit the current Director/Pro from continuing to give lessons at Chimney Springs.
We the undersigned homeowners in Chimney Springs and interested individuals in the vibrancy and success of our tennis program; petition the Tennis Committee, the Executive Council, and the Board of Directors to eliminate the exclusivity clause in our tennis policy. The clause as stated, The Chimney Springs Tennis Director will have exclusive privileges to teach lessons on Chimney Springs tennis courts. Should be replaced with a non-exclusive arrangement allowing individual resident choice in their selection of a coach for lessons on designated teaching courts.

As to why this exclusive arrangement was entered in the first place is beyond me and at the detriment of the homeowner paying HOA dues.

I have to take my daughter for tennis lessons to a different subdivision each week when I pay for the courts here and yet all the other surrounding subdivisions let you bring in any instructor you want.
