More than 30 countries in this world are rabies free,India is not one of them.Biggest reason for this is the uncontrolled population of stray dogs in our country.Methods like sterlizing the population of stray dogs have failed miserably when considered in totality.A large number of people in India still die of rabies and a large number of people have to go for vaccination due to dog bites.In cities like delhi lot of these stray dogs are crushed on road and are even responsible for road accidents.Apart from this they are general nuisance to people as the spread litter and garbage,attack small playing kids etc.
