RELEVANT FACTS:
Heshmatollah Tabarzadi is the editor of the publication (Payame daneshjo) Message of students ; a key member of the board of the United Front of Students that in recent time came to be the frontal figure of the students opposition against the Islamic republic; furthermore he became the founder of "Democratic Front of Iran". His widespread and laborious fight for freedom and democracy in Iran was deemed as a criminal activity by the leaders of this government in Iran and so he was sentenced to ten years in prison for being a risk for the national security. After serving this sentence he was released on the 24th of May 2008 (4th of Khordad 1387) although his release was conditional, he was to be deprived of his social rights for 10 more years.
After being released from prison he founded an widespread organisation that comprised of independent organisations and several student movements, some of the well known names of National Front (Jebheye Melli) and the organisation solidarity fortification (Tahkime Vahdat) joined forces and established a unity council for their common goal of democracy and human rights in Iran and so Mr. Tabarzadi was selected as the council spokesman. During this period he did many interviews with the media outside of Iran regarding his views about transparent politics that should be implemented moreover he clearly defended his political beliefs about secularism and pointed out the violation of human rights that was carried out by the government of Iran.
After the demonstrations of the supporters of the green movement on the 28th of December 2009 (7th of Dey 1388) Mr. Tabarzadi was once again arrested and is now detained in solitary confinement of Evin Prison.
Ayatollah Sayed Hossein Kazemeyni Boroujerdi is a Shi'a Muslim cleric who supports the freedom speech and the free exercise of religion in Iran. On October 7, 2006 Ayatollah Boroujerdi was arrested along with many of his supporters who had gathered at his home. He believes in the separation of religion from state, and due to his extensive criticism of the regime and his political line of secularism, he has been imprisoned since three years back and has been tortured and beaten repeatedly during this period in jail. Mr Boroujerdis ailing health is in need of immediate care and treatment.
Ms. Shiva Nazar-Ahari is a well renowned human rights fighter, she is the spokesman of the Human Rights Committee in Iran, a member of Students United Front and an active blogger and women's rights activist that has been arrested on several occasions. She was recently arrested again and has been transferred to solitary confinement of Evin Prison.

Dr. Malaky is a 76 year old gentleman that is a member of the Solidarity of Democrat seekers and a discharged professor from the University of Tehran; he was the head of the Tehran university after the 1979 revolution. Dr. Malaky has been detained in Evin prison since 6 month back and his physical condition at the present is very bad.

Abdullah Momeni is an active Civil Rights politician and the spokesman of the Adavare Tahkim organisation and one of the foremost critics of the regime and its policies. He has been detained for 7 months now in Evin Prison and even to this day his lawyers have not been able to meet him.
Ms. Somayeh Rashidi is a well known political activist, a member of One Million Signatures Campaign and a star bestowed student whom was deprived of any further studies because of her political activities. She was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison in an early morning raid to her house.
Farzad Kamangar, habibollah Latifi, Ali Heydarian, Farhad Vakili are three Kurdish political prisoners whose only crime was to demand their equitable rights and protesting against the crimes against the human rights and its violations in Iran, specifically in Kurdistan. They are subjects of medieval torture and their execution could be very imminently and unexpectedly enforced without any justification.
Peyman Aref is a journalist and a star bestowed student that was recently imprisoned for writing weblogs and participating in evident interviews with different media channels alongside our fellow Bahai countrymen and hundreds of other children of the soil and air of Iran that are now imprisoned in the prisons of the Islamic republic and are enduring inhumane and exhausting conditions.
It is our responsibility to fight for the unconditional freedom for these champions of human rights and freedom.
Therefore we the undersigned sustain this document and support the rights of these imprisoned freedom seekers, further we demand from the Iranian government that they will be held accountable for their actions, at the same time we request of the international governments and parliaments and human rights organisations to take any urgent measures required to rescue the lives of these champions of democracy and freedom.
