Freedom for iPod Shuffle

Innovation, customer satisfaction and portability are key drivers behind Apple iPod, however it seems this could be coming to an end.
The Apple iPod shuffle 2nd gen is being purchased all around the world by consumers who require a small sized iPod at a good price with a high level of portability. These people are not being sufficiently made aware that you can only use them on ONE computer effectively.
If you go to your friends and purchase a CD or want to log into Apple ITunes too download a new song/album and then upload this to your iPod shuffle you will have to go back home to the computer you linked it with or the alternative; which is to delete all your songs on your iPod shuffle and link it with the new computer at your new location.
(This is was confirmed to by Apple staff when phoning both Technical help and Customer services)
This means that any songs uploaded to your iPod Shuffle will be deleted when you get back to your own computer. It is hard to see the functionality benefits of this for any consumer.
Surely an iPod is meant for portability but this very feature is restricting movement for the consumer which in todays fast paced world is a serious error that needs to be addressed.
I hope the signatures of these people will convince you (Apple) to fix this software issue and allow your consumers the freedom they deserve.
Sincerely
