Freedom of Caribbean Airtravel

We the travellers of the Caribbean appeal for the governments of Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago to explain why REDjet has been delayed once again. These continuous delays effect regional travel for tourists, businesses and residents alike. This will lead to reduced revenues of airport taxes, landing fees and loss of regional business and expansion and loss of quality of life due airfare beyond the price of some.

The recent reductions of Caribbean Airlines fares show that there is no unfair pricing as far as REDjet fares goes. The blocking of this air carrier could also produce job losses in the carrier itself and in other services it uses such as marketing, aircraft ground services and airport counter services if it is prolonged. We the people would like to know the reasons for the blocking of REDjet from these destinations. We look forward to Caribbean air travel that is affordable, available to all, that can face competition and grow from it.
