Gambon Must Go

Most loyal Harry Potter fans have seen the Harry Potter movie series by Warner Bros Studios, and some love them, some hate them. Most of the characters are very well cast, with most fitting JK Rowling's gorgeous descriptions of her wondrous characters. One of the most important characters, Professor Albus Dumbledore, was at one point played by Richard Harris. Richard Harris passed away due to Hodgkin's Disease after the "Chamber of Secrets" finished filming, and was replaced by a wonderful actor named Michael Gambon. Michael Gambon is amazing, with so much charisma and a lot of talent, but is not right for the role of Dumbledore.

He has recently admitted to not even having read the books, and it is a concern to me and a most of the Harry Potter fanbase that such a key role was taken so halfheartedly. Although Gambon is a great actor, he is not right for the role of Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore is wise, quiet, soft-spoken yet still commanding, and Gambon does not relay that 'presence' that Dumbledore should radiate.

It is of much concern to myself and much of the Harry Potter fanbase that his roles, especially in the "Half-Blood Prince" movie where Dumbledore's role is vital and nearly as important as Harry Potters, that Gambon will not be able to pull this off. Although he has done a few well-done performances for the movies, he is not right for the role and should be replaced by someone else.

I sincerely hope that everyone can take this seriously. Gambon is a good actor, but let's face it -- he's not right to play Albus Dumbledore. We want to change this, and hopefully we can be taken seriously.
