As Im sure most of you are aware, APB was a Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), that took place in a modern-day, fictional city of San Paro where there was a constant battle between "Enforcers" and "Criminals", of which the player needed to decide which Faction they wanted to belong to.
Unlike many other MMORPG's which are based in Fantasy/Fairy tail/Medieval lands, APB was up to date, urban and the first 'GTA' styled MMO that offered COMPLEAT customization of your character (looks, style, clothing, car, music).
The Brain child of RealTime Worlds, it look 5 years to develop, and was released in the summer 2010. With over 130,000 registerd users already enjoying the 'new world', playing either on solo missions, or forming groups or clans with other players of the same faction.
Unfortunately due to poor management and a rushed release, RealTime Worlds went in to administration last month (August), taking with it a much loved game, which held GREAT groundbreaking potental.
There were many companies who looked in to purchasing the game, but declined at the last minuet, causing the serves to close, and leaving thousands of players disapointed.
I aim to get as many people as possible to sign this petition so show our support and belief in APB.
I wholeheartedly beleive that APB should have a second chance at becoming the game it was promised to be.
With the glitches ironed out, some of gameplay reworked, and in the arms of a company that knows what its doing, this product could be up there along sides GTA & WWO, bringing in thousands of new players, and with it a new lease on MMORPG's.
