Petition for Beach Volleyball players to unite!
We need your support in Grand Bend by this Friday (April 30, 2010) 12.00 noon.
We are PVB (Professional Volleyball) Canada and we have been given a contract signed on March 26, 2010 by the Mayor of the Municipality to operate youth and adult beach volleyball on the beaches of Grand Bend.
We have been given the "OK" in the contract to put up 15 beach courts for summer camps, youth development programs and adult leagues. BUT WAIT .....
The local residents who have now got wind of the contract think the public beach is an extension to their backyards. They have signed a petition with 800 signatures saying "we don't want beach volleyball on our public beaches" in other words, " No beach volleyball in our backyard on our public beaches!"
WE need you to say "YES" to allowing PVB to continue with beach volleyball programs in Grand Bend in accordance with the signed contract!
