A recent murder case has been brought to my attention, the Jennifer Horne case. Trial for the muder of Jennifer Horne is set for March 20, 2008 in Halifax NS. This petition is to alert the Canadian Justice System that we, the people of Canada wish for harsher punishment's for the person(s) responsible for comitting such heinous crimes. Most often in Canada, these criminals only serve half of their punishment, then proceed to live normal and happy lives. But what about the live's they've taken? The families of the victim(s)? We need to make sure these criminal's are put away so that they cannot hurt anymore people. To you, The Canadian Justice System, please revamp the Justice System here in Canada so murderer's and/or sex offender's receive a more harsher sentence.

I have lost a boyfriend to murder,,, this has deeply affected the way I think and go on with life....I will never stop crying over his tragic death....the men responsible get out soon this happened 6 years ago....HELLO whats wrong with our system...I hope

People who take a life deserve to have their lives taken. But capital punishment would be too easy; let them sit in a cell and have the rest of their life to reflect on what they've done, and how many lives they have affected.
