This petition is being raised as the to urge the government to lower fuel duty on Petrol and Diesel, at least temporarily, until global fuel prices drop to an affordable level. The fuel costs affect everyone in society, not just drivers. We all pay more for food because the production and distribution costs have increased. We all pay more to use public transport as the fuel costs are hitting the bus and train companies.
The cost of fuel is what is forcing inflation higher and higher on what appears to be a monthly basis.
