We the undersigned are very concerned about the safety and security of Mr. Ahmad Reza Azali and his family. He and his wife are well known social and political activist in Sanandaj, central city of Iranian Kurdistan. Mr. Ahmad Reza Azali, his wife and now 12 old son were forced to leave Iran five years ago, escape to Turkey and apply for asylum in Ankara .
We confirm that Mr. Azali was a very well known voice, in Iranian Kurdistan, opposing Islamic Regimes oppression and discriminations against Kurdish people; his wife was one of student activist in Kurdistan University.
Considering the recent wave of executions, torture, and imprisonment of Kurdish activists in Iran, we are extremely worried about their situation and their safety, and hope that UN well grand them asylum and settle them in a safe country.
