Currently the Barnesville, MN Animal Ordinance states that the ONLY pets your family are allowed to have are a dog, cat, hamster, gerbil, or caged household bird. That means no guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, snakes, iguanas, turtles frogs, ducks, chickens, ect.
This ordinance was discovered when the animal control officer informed a Barnesville resident that they had to get rid of their beloved pets. They have 2 pet Pekin ducks whom they are extremely attached to.
This petition is an effort to change that ordinance so that this family will not be forced to part with 2 members of their family and so that other Barnesville residents will not be in fear of losing their beloved pets.
