Homework in Our Schools

We, the Undersigned, believe that homework is unfair in our schools. We beleieve that homework is a waste of time. If you include homework (especially in high school), school could take up half of the day. Kids already spend on average of seven hours a day in school.

We, the Undersigned, firmly believe that homework is allowing teachers to become lazy at teaching. They look to the child to do all the work. Instead of doing all the work in class to make sure everyone understands it, it all becomes homework. If the child doesn't understand the homework, he/she will get a low grade on the assignment because they obviously can't ask the teacher for help at home. If children did the assignments in class, they could ask the teacher questions whenever they want. The children would get help and the result would most likely be higher grades.

We, the Undersigned, believe it is in the best interest of the child to exlude homework from school. We believe having homework greatly decrease a childs grade. We hope you, the administrator, consider this change in your school, whether it being permanent or just an experiement.
