I am AGAINST Digital Billboards in St. Petersburg

As a resident or visitor to St. Petersburg, I am AGAINST an ordinance that would allow electronic signs (or digital billboards) within the city limits.
This ordinance would be bad for the city, because:
> These signs are distracting; they take a driver's attention off the road.
> These signs are ugly and would negatively impact the city's image.
> The city won't get any revenue from the proposed agreement with the billboard industry.
> Once you allow them, these signs will be here forever. Cities that have allowed digital billboards invariably later try to limit them, only to end up in court.
> And MOST IMPORTANTLY, your neighborhoods and I don't want them.
Please listen to your residents and visitors, vote down this proposed ordinance change and keep St. Petersburg beautiful.
