We understand that there may be occasional service disruptions due to road traffic accidents or essential engineering work, but this cannot be the case everyday. Disruptions or delays due to a shortage of rolling stock (vehicles) are unacceptable for the fare levied on customers, especially with the increase in fares, averaging 3.9\% that was implemented on 27th February 2005.
Metrolink should:
1. Increase the frequency of the Eccles service to every 6 minutes (at least during peak times i.e. before 09.30hrs and after 16.00hrs)
2. Increase the number of vehicles/rolling stock being used on the Eccles line
3. Improve the level of service for customers
