Whereas: The taxpayers and citizens of the City of Buffalo have recently been informed via various sources of a possible decrease in our City of Buffalo Police Department, and
Whereas: There is a strong, evidential increase of crime, whether quality of life, burglary and theft, assault/murder, drug sales, and more, and
Whereas: Our children are at risk each day due to these crimes and the negative role models they witness each day, and
Whereas: Our City of Buffalo Police Department has experienced a significant increase of calls due to the elimination of Housing Police, and
Whereas: We have the inherent right to unmitigated protection of and by our City of Buffalo Police Department,
We, the taxpayers and citizens of the City of Buffalo, respectfully demand increased police protection through increased police personnel in our City of Buffalo Police Department.
We request this for our community, our neighborhoods, our families and friends, our children, and for the safety of the men and women who serve in City of Buffalo Police Department

Thank you Albany for a Control Board that wants less police and forces their agenda regardless of the effect it will have on the residents of buffalo. The elimination of the BMHA Police force is a case in point.

It is insane to decrease a police force with increased crime. Our officers need support and comrades on the line. We won't forget their needs as they have not forgotten ours.
