Introduction of ID card

There is a growing problem with ID theft and fraud in this country. A lot of it is with immigrants who have several assumed identities and on occasion posses numerous NI numbers. Benefit fraud is rife as these people sign on under different names in different towns. They work under one name and sign on with other assumed identities. They commit insurance fraud and then buy new insurance under assumed names. Without knowing who is who the door is open for all kinds of abuse and the people who pay for most of these crimes are honest tax paying people. Identity cards will make it difficult for dishonest people to thrive financially and bleed the UK tax payer dry. The only people who argue against this are people who have something to hide. Personally I would gladly carry and ID card to make this country a safer fairer place.
