We, the undersigned, condemn without reservation the gross violations of human rights being perpetrated by the Libyan regime under the direction of Colonel Gaddafi and with the support of those closest to him including Abdullah Senussi.
The use of deadly arms (including machine gun fire) and extreme, arbitrary violence against unarmed civilian protesters is without justification and in violation of international conventions to which Libya is a signatory. Those responsible must be investigated and held to account. These are crimes against humanity.
