We the undersigned, committed fans of professional "Iron" Mike Sharpe, do hereby petition that Vince McMahon and World Wrestling Entertainment induct Mr. Sharpe into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Mr. Sharpe comes from a family that has been involved in professional wrestling for nearly 60 years. His own history includes an historic run in the then-named WWF that began in 1983, but his career began well before that, as he worked various regional promotions since the mid-to-late 1970s.
It is widely accepted that he is, in fact, Canada's Greatest Athlete.
He is the master of the bear hug.
His right arm was injured, hence the leather forearm guard. It is not now and never was a weapon. He has medical clearance! It's all very legal, we promise.
He most certainly is NOT A WIMP!
His interviews were legendary, and he always made his opponents look great.
Most importantly, however, "Iron" Mike Sharpe was a great in-ring performer, and though he lost far more matches than he ever won, he always put on a great show and entertained the fans.
If not for the fans, there would be no wrestling industry.
And now, we the fans urge Mr. McMahon to recognize Mr. Sharpe for his efforts and elect him, rightly, to the WWE Hall of Fame.
