(This petition is for the use of MSA licence holders directly affected by issues relating to the review of K37 regulations as announced by the MSA 21/2/07. You will need to provide your licence number).
We, the undersigned, believe that the MSA's proposals to amend section K37 of the regulations will adversely affect club stage rallying participation and will not reduce the MSAs liabilities to litigation. Also, the MSA proposals do not address issues of safety, vehicle construction and every increasing performance as they only significantly affect the club competitor.
The proposals are not workable for the majority of competitors of modified vehicles, resulting in a large financial write-down for many existing cars and the loss of many competitors from the sport.
The current proposals to amend K37 are unacceptable to the undersigned and we request the MSA / Rallies Committee reconsiders the proposals and re-issues amendments that MSA licence holders feel are both necessary and in the best interests of the sport as a whole.
