At a 2005 Bright Eyes concert in Ft. Worth, Conor Oberst (who is the lead singer of the band) stated that he hates Texas. Here's the exact quote:
"I don't know if you know this, but I hate your [expletive] state. I'd put a [expletive] gun to my head before I'd live in your state"
If Mr. Oberst hates our [expletive] state, why does he [expletive] keep coming back? This petition is to show Conor Oberst that we dislike him as much as he dislikes us, and that maybe he should consider staying somewhere he doesn't [expletive] hate, because we don't want him anywhere near Texas.
