KEEP EVANS STORES OPEN!

We the undersigned are petitioning the Arcadia Group to KEEP EVANS STORES OPEN.

We have become aware of the group's desire to increase profits by closing stores across the country - leaving major towns and cities such as Bristol without an Evans store.

As a member of the plus-size community I feel completely ababdoned by a company that was designed to meet my needs and wants when it comes to buying clothing.

Evans is more than just a shop, it is a SERVICE and the only one of its kind in a lot of towns and cities! It's all well and good having someone from customer services give us the bog standard "well you can shop online and I hope you'll still shop with us" answer but this is JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

 If you get a call on a Monday to go for an interview the next day where would you go to get that new shirt or jacket? If on a Friday you get invited out on a date that evening and you want a new dress, where could you buy it from? You have to wait at least a day or two to get something new when you shop online and even then there is no guarantee it will fit or suit - plus you have to pay for it beforehand and possibly waste hard earned cash on delivery that may well be for nothing. This is just NOT ACCEPTABLE that in this day and age, when so many women are a size 16+ that we are being ABANDONED by the stores that were designed to cater for us. We are so much better than shop online! We DESERVE to have an ACTUAL SHOP in our high streets that will cater for us and give us shape advice and the staff that work there DESERVE to have their JOBS!
