Keep Michelle Rodriguez on Lost

We the fans of Michelle Rodriguez and/or the character of Ana Lucia Cortez would like you to know that we whole-heartedly support both the actress and character. We want you to know that we appreciate and understand your intentions for this character. We believe that Michelle Rodriguez is a phenomenal addition to the cast and Ana Lucia is a brilliant creation. Both Ms. Rodriguez and her character demonstrate the definition of reality within this fictional tale. Reality is full of various layers....layers of sadness, anger, weakness, strength, humor, and power, and this character and the actress who plays her embodies all of these qualities flawlessly...from moments of heroism to struggle for redemption. From the instant this individual has stepped onscreen some have viewed her with negative reactions, however you must know, that there are many of us that feel the exact opposite. You need to know that there are those of us who firmly believe in this character and who support and adore the actress who so brilliantly portrays her. You need to know that we understand the business, fan reaction, personal "issues" and all of the things that make up the difficult production of a brilliant one-hour drama.

George Eliot once wrote, "I at least have so much to do in unraveling certain human lots, and seeing how they were woven and interwoven, that all the light I can command must be concentrated on this particular web, and not dispersed over that tempting range of relevancies called the universe." We are asking you to "concentrate" on your genius fiction. We are asking you to look past the negative fan reactions and outcries, the drama, and the recent events in the personal life of the actress. She is a talented and ambitious individual and her character is a life force in itself. To remove, re-write, or re-cast this creation would be a travesty to the show, it's plot, and especially to those of us fans who've put our heart and souls into this show....some from the very beginning, others who at first approached as fans of the actress. We are hereby asking you, the brilliant team behind this brilliant show...Mr. Abrams, Mr. Cuse, Mr. Lindelof, and all of the other producers, writers, directors and network executives, to please, hear our request, take in our praise, and understand our desire to see Michelle Rodriguez remain on this brilliant series. Thank you very much for your time, and for the mind-blowing experience you provide us with twenty-two weeks out of the year. We hope you will hear our voices. Thank you again.
