The Transformers live-action film, a joint venture between Hasbro and Paramount, has already proven a huge success for both companies even as it's theatrical run has merely just begun. Hasbro has given fans many excellent toys based on characters from the film, some of which are new to the Transformers mythos. In the film, Blackout is a newly introduced character who reeks of awesomeness: An MH-53 Pave Low Helicopter turns into a towering, blade wielding harbinger of destruction, and is the first Transformer we see on screen. The scene sticks in your mind from the moment you hear the fan-favorite Tramsforming sound as this hulking monster begins it's malevolent task of locating the Allspark. Without a doubt, the coolest new character in the film.
Therein lies the dilemma: Hasbro has produced a Transforming figure of Blackout in it's Transformers Movie line-up... but it is a huge disappointment. The figure itself is not bad, don't get me wrong, but even to other Voyager scale figures it tremendously lacks in stature. We feel that in relation to the popularity and pure chaotic awesomeness of the character, this is not an acceptable appeasement for Transformer collectors and fans worldwide. Blackout NEEDS a Leader Class action figure - Bigger scale, Bigger detail, Better figure for the best new Transformer in the franchise!
If Brawl can get a Leader Class figure, why not Blackout???

Blackout was in all the previews, was the first transformer to be shown on-screen, and had far more screen time than Brawl who is already a leader-class. The voyager one was just too small. Kids love flying vehicles and a larger helicoptor with play-actio
