The chapel in Rastrick Cemetery, West Yorkshire has recently been sold at auction and a planning application has been submitted to Calderdale Council to turn the building into a residential dwelling. This we feel is deeply disrespectful, not only to the people laid to rest but to their families as well.
Interrments are still a common thing in the cemetery. One last week being only a few feet away from the Chapel!!! To have someone residing in the property is ludicrous. How are we the families able to grieve for our loved ones knowing we could be being watched???
