Lobby for the URGENT need for updated Animal Welfare Legislation in Ireland.

Animal welfare issues in Ireland have little or no priority. The current legislation dates back 100 years this year and an update on this legislation is urgently needed. A new Animal Welfare Bill has been drafted but it needs to be passed by the Government. We are a group of Veterinary Nursing students that have set up a lobby society to urge the change in this legislation. This petition will be put to good use as we will be visiting members of the Government face to face and with a petition to show how many people support the need for the legislation to be passed, there is a much greater chance of that happening.
