Teenagers at the age of eighteen are considered Adults. They have the ability to buy cigarettes, tattoos, and the possibility to go to jail if they committed a felony or crime. They are no longer seen as young teenagers, but adults, yet they are unable to drink until the age of twenty-one.This law should take action and The United States government should include allowing eighteen years old to have the privilege to drink. It has been proven that other countries have fewer instances of alcohol abuse when the legal drinking age is eighteen, and eighteen year old Americans are endowed with all the responsibilities of an adult including going to jail and serving for the military.Research has shown that the most alcohol abuse happens more during their twenty's than teenage years. As a result, eighteen year olds have shown more responsibility by not drinking and driving than adults in their twenties. Therefore, the National drinking age of The United States of America should consider lowering the drinking age from twenty-one.
