Matteo's Pizza Unfairly Restricted from Using Affordable Sign
Sign Now
On 30 June 2014, the City of Sarnia enacted a bylaw that restricted the use of mobile signs to businesses with 20 metres of frontage. Matteo's Pizzeria at 1119 Lakeshore Road has only 17.5 metres of frontage. The proprietor has already paid for the rental of an affordable, portable sign for the front of his pizzeria. This petition asks that Matthew Malott, the proprietor, be grandfathered so that he can keep his sign, which will accomplish two goals:
1) A local businessman can do very basic advertising at a reasonable cost.
2) The City can collect a licensing fee instead of getting nothing.
Everyone wins.
Please sign this petition so that Matt can keep his sign.
