Melanie Paolini Back as Career High Softball Coach

It has come to the attention of the softball team, friends, family, students, and supporters of our coach Ms. Melanie Paolini, that she will no longer be a coach at our school Hill Regional Career High School.Do to the fact that she is no longer teaching in a New Haven Public School.

In the dictionary a coach is defined as one who instructs or trains a performer or a team of performers; specifically : one who instructs players in the fundamentals of a competitive sport and directs team strategy. In this definition they forgot to add one more thing, that a coach is Melanie Paolini. A woman who took a team that was rated the worst school in New Haven and took the team that nobody else wanted and made them into the best team in New Haven and brought them all the way to states. . The dictionary doesnt state that a coach is someone who lives, work, and teach in one specific region or place, but is someone who turns a group of people into a team through hard work and dedication.



She is one of the only people who are willing to coach at a urban school when they have the opportunity to teach and coach at a suburban school. When you sign this petition remember she is the same one that gave out her cell phone number and address and told us that she is there for us when ever we may need her. Also remember that she is the one that encouraged the students at Hill Regional that even though we may not think that we have the ability to play a sport, that anything is possible if we put our mind to it and worked at it.

Please sign this petition to get OUR COACH Melanie Paolini back. If she isn't the right person for the job then no one is. If she wasnt your coach she has been a mentor, teacher, friend, and supporter to all.
