Michael Vick Should Never Be Allowed to Own Any Animals

We, the undersigned, explicitly are requesting you deny Michael Vick of ever owning another dog. We would also extend that to include any animal, whether it be a cat, bird, ferret, rooster, horse, pig, snake, turtle, or any other animal species.

We, the undersigned, do not believe Michael Vick, could ever be trusted to be a loving, caring, and responsible pet owner. After being found guilty and admitting the horrendous and cruel abuse and murder of so many dogs, we feel it would be in the best interest for all animals to prevent people who are known to be abusive and cruel to any animal, to never be allowed to own any pets of any kind.

We, the undersigned, do not believe Michael Vick, after being convicted of dog-fighting, should be allowed to have any animal of any kind in any of his residences.

It was proven that Michael Vick lied to Federal Authorities about his involvement in the dog-fighting. It is also known, that he stated he grew up not knowing that dog-fighting was illegal, yet he took measures to hide his dog-fighting ring and his involvement. We, the undersigned, believe that Michael Vick should not be trusted with any animal. We also believe that had Michael Vick not been caught running a dog-fighting ring, he would very possibly still be involved with it.

We, the undersigned, do not believe his participation in animal sensitivity training course, nor the several appearances he has done to discourage people from dog-fighting will have a life long effect on him. We believe it is merely to change his image in the pro-athletic world of sports. A witness to Michael Vick's inhumane, unjust, and horrendous killing of dogs was quoted as saying that Vick got an "adrenaline high" from hearing the screams of pain from the dogs he killed.

We, the undersigned, can only hope that the others involved with Michael Vick in the dog-fighting ring are never allowed to own any animals also. We believe that anyone involved in such heinous, cruel, abusive, and federal crimes should never be allowed near or personally own any animal of any kind.
