Smokers of Missouri have once again been attack;
Now by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services; they are refusing to License Healthcare centers around the state due to the following regulation; that hospitals and all of their facilities shall be tobacco free. Facilities include the physical campus, parking facilities, adjacent offices including administrative and physician offices and offices affiliated with the hospital or health system as well as those physically adjacent shall be tobacco free. The use of all tobacco products including smokeless tobacco shall be prohibited.
The purpose of the policy is to comply with State licensing requirements.
Effective Soon co-workers, physicians, visitors, patients, volunteers and all other people shall be prohibited from smoking within all Healthcares owned buildings, on grounds, in personal vehicles and in parking facilities or parking lots.
If the hospital refuses to comply they will lose the License Please what is our government agency thinking of, Shut down a Hospital because someones family member is dying or in the hospital, because of a gruesome accident, and they need a smoke to calm down What would you do if you just found out something like that, and a Security guard came to you and said, Gee Mister and Mrs. Smith, Sorry to here your son was maimed and died, but you need to put out that cigarette?
This is impractical and appalling to Visitors and Guests, it is also Discrimination and Violation of a Smokers rights. It is a Government Agency Dictatorship Action here; to say either you comply or die. Sayith the government, there is people that just because they dont smoke YOU should not smoke either.
Next they will be telling you if you drink Soda on a healthcare property. Because they drink water, dont let them fool you, FIRST US, and then YOU.
