We come to you today as students, alumni, and faculty united to express our dismay at hearing of Mr. Hughes's possible removal from the Nolan Catholic community. We come not to argue the charges brought against him, but rather to bear witness to the positive impact he has had on all of our lives. Whether it be as a teacher or as a colleague, he has affected each of us deeply. For ten years now, Mr. Hughes has been a part of Nolan Catholic and in that time has touched many lives. The good he has done for the Nolan Catholic community by far outweighs whatever negative traits he may have. He challenges those around him to think for themselves, and by doing so, to become leaders. That is the very principle this school was founded on, and it is by virtue of this that we ask you not to dismiss him. Thank you for your time, it is most appreciated.
