NASCAR FANS AGAINST ISC

This petition was started on October 9, 2001. Our members believe very strongly that ISC (International Speedway Corporation) and a few other tracks are trying to profiteer from the terrorist attacks that occurred on 9/11/01. They are trying to say that they are banning coolers for safety and security reasons. This is all a smokescreen! ISC has been trying to ban coolers for years. If this is such a safety concern, then why are most other tracks not participating? Martinsville, Atlanta, Texas, Charlotte, and other tracks owners have said that they have NO plans to ban coolers in the grandstands unless Law Enforcement officials tell them that they should. ISC just happens to own a company called "Americrown", they are the company that supplies all of the food and beverages for most of the ISC tracks. They also own and operate the concession stands at the track. This cooler ban issue has absolutely nothing in this world to do with safety or security, it's all about GREED! The prices of NASCAR tickets are outrageous at most tracks ESPECIALLY ISC TRACKS! Not to mention the cost of hotel accommodations and other expenses. It costs a lot of money to go to a NASCAR race. Now they want us to shell out even more money, for $5 Beers, $4 Soda's, $3 Bottles of Water..$7 paper thin Burgers...etc..etc. NO! This is where we draw the line. It's much more than that, We are throwing down the gauntlet to ISC and any other track that tries to gouge race fans by using the events of 9/11 to justify their actions. We are ready to fight! There will be Protests, there will be Boycotts. We are writing to every Racing related Newsletter, Website, Team, Sponsor..etc. WE WILL BE HEARD, and they are going to listen to us. The U.S.A. will not be intimidated by terrorist cowards, and Race Fans will not be intimidated or dictated to, by International Speedway Corporation or any other track that attempts to gouge us. They may have millions of dollars and fancy lawyers, but WE are the FANS that write their paychecks. If they lose us, they lose everything that they have. We are not asking anyone not to go to the races. We Love our NASCAR way too much to give up going, NO! We will go, and we will enjoy the races. We will fight this issue, and we will WIN! If you agree with what we are saying please sign the petition, and pass it along to all of your friends. When closed, this petition will be forwarded to NASCAR, ISC, Dover Downs, N.H.I.S., and any other track that participates in this cooler ban. We will also forward it to Race Team Owners, Sponsors, The U.S. Attorney Generals Office, and The President Of The United States of America. (When things are settled in the Middle East). We would not bother him now.
