Dear Editor in Chief of the National Geographic Magazine:
In one of the previous issues, your prestigious publication erroneously referred to the Persian Gulf in an article about Iran as the Arabian Gulf; this caused millions of Iranians around the world to voice their concern regarding this inaccuracy.
In the August 2008 issue of the magazine, which contains 34 pages of in-depth article including pictures about ancient Iran (Persia), the author of the article along with the publication have reverted back to using the name "Persian Gulf" instead of the non-existent "Arabian Gulf". It was a refreshing article that shows the true character and history of the Iranian people to the world.
We want to hereby thank and commend National Geographic for the article Ancient Iran, Inside a Nations Persian Soul which has reflected on parts of our ancient civilization and history that we are so proud of.
