For Far too long now Neighbours fans have been treated like second class citizens by the powers that be at the BBC. Whereas viewers of such shows as Eastenders receive a 3 hour catch-up every Sunday for their license fee, followers of the legendary Australian drama are left out in the cold. This is even more galling considering minority soaps Hollyoaks, Home and Away, Emmerdale and even Coronation Street are given the basic luxury of an omnibus.
A Neighbours Omnibus would only take up 2 hours of screen time and if there isnt time for it on one of the main channels, there would certainly be a window on BBC3 or even 4!!!!!
Im sure that every one of you reading this who has a job feels the heart wrenching pain of missing out on the day to day happening of the residents of Ramsey Street and to you I neednt explain the cause any further.
It is to all students I wish to warn, that not only will you no longer be able to relax at 5.35pm for a dose of sunshine and the happenings of Harold, Toadie & Karl Kennedy, oh no, you will never see them again!!! Trust me the feeling is akin to loosing a limb or two.
So take time to think about your future and act now!!!
Please Sign the petition and when we have collected enough names to populate a small country I shall forward the list to the BBC Director General.
Together we can bring the corporation to its knees and force them to admit that they have been denying millions of Britons their basic human right to Neighbours.
