Nintendo E3: The Day All Hope Was Lost

E3 2008. The biggest gaming conference of the whole year. Nintendo. The driving force of innovation since the beginning. Last year and this year we had many hardcore titles for Wii, like Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metriod Prime 2 and Mario Kart Wii. We still wanted MORE but thats what next years E3 was for. Right? Well today, July 15 2008, we found out "Wii" were wrong.
The Conference was something that Nintendo's hardcore gamers really were excited about. The casuals were probably playing Su-Do-Ku while we watched with bated breath. But did we get a new Zelda, Mario, Kid Icarus, or StarFox? No. Did we get ANY hardcore title for the Wii? NOO! We only got Animal Crossing, and some screwed up microphone. THATS ALL!
Nintendo, you have officially lost your hardcore market. Kiss it goodbye. I have been a Nintendo fanboy for as long as I could play video games, but you lost me now. You lost all the hardcores out there.
Please see how many people you've lost by only giving to the casual. The casual who won't stay by your side if you screw up. The casual who might go Microsoft's, or Sony's way if they announce something. And while you do that, we'll be walking away, the hardcore. the hardcore who has stayed with you until the very end. Wii want to play a REAL game consoles.
