Most states have an "executive order" to allow needle-exchange programs, which allow drug users to get clean needles. This condones the use of illegal drugs and is allowed under the guise of reducing the spread of HIV and other blood-borne diseases.
It is appalling that drug addicts are given free needles while diabetics, especially those without insurance, must pay for them. The fact is that these people have no responsibilty for their own actions. For drug addicts to to be coddled by the taxpayers while those who truly need these these free needles have to pay is reprehensible.
We need to stop these free needle programs, and start helping insulin-dependant diabetics. Type-1 diabetes is not caused by any behavior patterns, but by heredity and immune-system problems, unlike drug-addiction, which is a choice, and people are responsible for their choices.
