We, the undersigned, believe that the potential Wal-Mart Superstore development in the Marple Crossings Center is not suited to the character of the shopping center, is incompatible with the surrounding neighborhoods, would place additional burdens on the already taxed infrastructure in the area, and would have a negative and irreversible impact on the surrounding regional retail market both in Marple Township and neighboring municipalities.
As such, we request that Marple Township's commissioners and zoning board reject the development until studies including, but not limited to, traffic impact, economic impact, environmental impact, drainage, wastewater, safety, and neighborhood impact be conducted and proper mitigation techniques be identified. Furthermore, we request that the studies and mitigation efforts reflect current standards and best practices and that any applicant that is unwilling or unable to comply with the mitigation techniques should be denied their application.
Finally, we request that any potential development of a magnitude close to, or exceeding the expected superstore development (approximately 115,000 square feet) be fully disclosed and discussed by the developer and Township with neighbors, neighboring municipalities, business associations, and any other interested stakeholders to solicit their input and address their concerns prior to the filing of a development application."

Can't wait,Walmart, Giant,Pulte carriage houses on Old Marple, more soccer fields in Middletown and Upper Providence, the Franklin mint project, the Granite Run brown field, wow the bypass and 320 to Thomas Chevy will be a 18 hour parking lot.

There is already increased traffic in this area due to development of housing. We do not need this to attract more cars on the small roads and highways. LEt's support the small businesses in the area.

Horrific traffic patterns and interesection since the 1960's & 1970's when first built and still today; no way the entire highway infrastructure would cost millions to accomadate and thus more burden on tax payers
