No More Animal Cops on Animal Planet

This is a petition against the "Animal Cops" series on Animal Planet. While the SPCA and other agencies do remarkable work against cruelty and neglect to animals, we do not feel it should be aired on Animal Planet. The program depicts all too real visions of animals in the most terrible of conditions, many of which are put to sleep and a small few are adopted. Again we stress the importance of these agencies but showing animals in these conditions can be rather disturbing, and even more so to children. Being a channel that prides itself on the glorification of animals and it's strong appeal to children, we strongly urge Animal Planet to reconsider airing "Animal Cops".
