We decided to bring to your attention the issue regarding the
inability to upgrade the firmware of a number of no-brand mobile products
traded in Italy. We believe it is our right to receive the same treatment
of the users of any other Country, since like them we have not received
any discount to the purchase price of our products. In particular, the
Nokia 5800 phone has always been the subject of many annoying bugs and
issues, and in order to use it within the bounds of decency, the only
alternative to an exhausting or vain waiting is to change the product
code in an updatable one, thereby losing any warranty. Our demands are
few and simple:
the availability of the firmware in a reasonable time for all the
no-brand products in Italy, or, at least, that Nokia don't void anymore the
warranty if we change our no-brand product code to another ones, in order to
achieve the update of our devices.
