Panasonic LCD Television lamp (TY-LA1000) life issue

The average lifespan of the TY-LA1000 or similar lamp unit is rated at 10,000 (Ten Thousand) hours according to Panasonic documentation. We are finding that the average lifespan is considerably shorter; maybe 1/10th (one tenth) and we are starting to regret the purchase of our Panasonic LCD Televisions.
We are experiencing in some cases unnecessary out of pocket expense and valuable time that we are wasting to fix the problems we are having or now assume we will have in the future with our NEW Panasonic LCD Televisions. In some cases the lamp unit is being replaced two or three times in a single year. Although Panasonic provides a years warranty on lamp unit part number TY-LA1000 or similar we are find this to be totally unacceptable, time consuming and are experiencing problems with technical support and delays of up to six weeks before we can obtain a replacement lamp unit. After the year warranty has expired we are expected to purchase a replacement lamp unit for a price on average of about $300 (Three Hundred dollars) possibly two or three times a year.
We would like Panasonic to fully recognize the lamp unit life issue and come up with a solution to remedy the situation so that the documented 10,000 (Ten Thousand) hour lamp unit life can be obtained and/or refund us in full for the total expense of replacing the lamp units in our Panasonic LCD Televisions.
