Dear Parents Name
Re: Child's Name
As you are aware, your child will be commencing grade one in September. You are probably already in the process of making alternate arrangements to accommodate this transition.
We currently have the maximum number of preschoolers in our program's.
(The daycare has advised me they have the space. Why can't they just wait till September, three months away?)
In order to accommodate some of the younger children that require space in the preschool rooms, we have been directed by the City of Toronto to survey our parents with children going into grade one in September 2010. We require 6 preschool spaces for June 1 2010.
(Another way of saying, we don't want to pay the difference anymore. Is this why JK and SK will be full time programs next year?)
Please advise us by May 7, 2010, if you will be withdrawing your child by May 31st, 2010. (Notice today is May 3,2010. How can any parent with such short notice find another alternative?)
If, through natural attrition, a space does not became available; the 6 oldest children will need to make alternate arrangements by May 31, 2010.
We are forwarding this letter to all children with 2004 birth dates. If you know you are leaving earlier than September, please let daycare supervisor name, know by May 7, 2010.
Your child, child's name is one of the oldest and therefore if no one is leaving prior to May 31, 2010, we will no longer be able to provide care after this date. (Basically kicking us out!)
As stated earlier, this is a directive by the City of Toronto.
Please feel free to contact them to answer any questions you might have.
