Pay your own way Farris

Recently, a teenager from Florida by the name of Farris Hassan got the bright idea in his head to take a quick trip to Iraq to participate in immersion journalism (something he was learning about in school) and wanted to act as an ambassador for democracy. Although he is only 16, he took off for Baghdad to see firsthand, how things are transpiring there.

Apparently, Farris doesnt own a television! And now, this beevis is getting his face plastered all over the place like he is some whimsical little child who has just done something cute and funny. In the words of his father upon learning that Farris was in Kuwait heading for Baghdad: if [I] had demanded [my] son come home, it would leave a scar, disappointing him in his young life. Awww, dont scar his young life. Let him wander into an active war zone. Come on Dr. Hassan (yes, his dad's a doctor)! Get a clue!

Now, the US personnel, from the military to the embassy, are helping protect him while he is in Baghdad and get him home. Farris got there on his own money and from his comments of his spending habits and his lifestyle, he has got the money to get home and pay for all the protection he has had in Iraq. I say Farris and his family should compensate the government for any services and protection rendered for Farris little jaunt into a war zone.

We got much better things to spend our taxpayer money on than protecting a kid with a serious case of cranial rectal inversion syndrome!
