Peace Grandmothers Out of Iraq and Afghanistan

Dear President Obama:

We peace grandmothers voted for you in large part because you vowed to bring our troops home from Iraq. Now you have authorized more troops to Afghanistan. We urge you to reconsider this decision, as we believe it will lead to more death and destruction to innocent Afghans as well as our troops, and will not bring peace. The quagmire we caused in Iraq is proof of this. War is not the answer. Please bring all our troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan now and employ diplomacy instead.
