Petition against the SAVE Act - H.R. 4088

Petition against H.R. 4088, The SAVE Act or Bills that support Electronic Employment Verification

This petition opposes the use of Electronic Employment Verification which is outlined in H.R. 4088 titled the SAVE Act. These bills that mandates employment verification, including the SAVE Act (H.R. 4088), contain no assurances that government databases will be accurate and updated, no privacy protections for the vast amounts of personal information to be handled by employers and absolutely no recourse for workers who are wrongfully denied employment. These bills severely undermine a citizen's right to privacy of their biometric information. The U.S. Constitution does not grant any government agency to obtain and store our biometic information. Once this biometric information is obtained by agencies we will not know who has access to this information nor will we know who will use the information and for what purpose it will be used. The signers of this petition strongly oppose the use of biometics for electronic employment verification. If you agree with this petition please sign.
