Petition FOR Patterson Ranch Development

This petition is presented on behalf of the citizens of the City of Fremont, California to oppose the Patterson Ranch development. We respectfully request that the Fremont City Council APPROVE this proposed project.
Our support is based on:
1) Fremont Unified School District has expressed major concerns about overcrowded neighborhood schools and objected to this development. This development would result in a new school, with a higher, self-sustaining tax base expansion which will result in a higher quality of education for our students.
2) Fremont already has financial challenges meeting its obligations in critical service areas such as crime prevention and public safety. It is in the best interest of our City to add another large housing development of 878 homes, which would increase tax revenues, allowing for greater efficiencies and resources available to our valued public works departments.
3) This development is expected to generate over 4 million car trips annually. Our City does will benefit from this additional traffic and commerce and potential consumers.
Our City, our schools and our children do need this development.
