Petition for Police to be tried in a Public court of law, regarding deaths to members of the Public.

A lot of problems have arised regarding police and deaths to members of the public, in and out of police custody, one of the most recent being the death of Mr Mark Duggan. Such investigations may also frequently involve the use of policing tactics or techniques that, police claim if widely known, would hinder the ability of the police service to prevent and detect crime. It is also claimed, that the release of information concerning current investigations may compromise any subsequent court proceedings. For these reasons the police service will, in most cases, seek to apply an exemption to prevent the release of information concerning investigations when requested under the Freedom of Information Act, 2000, i.e a Police on Police investigation behind closed doors. with minimal information given to the victim's family and friends. If it was a military case or something regarding MI5 or some other form of secret service or undercover operation, then the above statement could rendered relevant. But when it is a P.C, Sergeant or so forth involved with another member of the public's untimely death, isn't only right that the family members should have access to all the information possible that led up to the death of their loved one?????? And that the officer should be tried in a normal court of law with a judge and jury???????? In cases like these, there are no state secrets to protect, no secret agents to hide, only the truth!!!!!. There have been 333 deaths in police custody alone and not one police officer has been convicted. And while i do not condone the recent riots and the violence that came with it, it is very possible that the riots would have never happened, if the public knew that police officers involved in this sort of case would stand trial just like any other member of the public involved in the same situation. We the people voted in the government to run the country for US, so we the people should have a say in some of the rules and regulations that govern us. It's time for a change people and the time is NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....
