Petition to revive the Ruger Mk II .22lr pistol

We the undersigned call on Sturm Ruger Firearms Co. Inc. of Southport, Conn., to again produce the Ruger MkII .22lr pistol in its origional models and features. These new Politically Correct versions labeled MkIII have new "Safety" features like a loaded chamber indicator and a magzine disconnect. The loaded chamber feature promotes poor safety. The proper way to tell if a firearm is loaded is to inspect the chamber for a loaded round. Having a pistol that will not fire without a magazine inserted is also useless. It is bad enough we have to see a warning label stamped on the barrel but the new style MkIII is going too far. The MkII is a fine pistol. Please bring it back.

So Ruger, do yourself a favor and stop fixing things that are not broken.
